Lottery temptations are everywhere. That “72 million” jackpot is in Slovak Crowns, so it is only worth about $3 million.
An in-town gas station. A liter costs about 42 Crowns or $1.68. A liter is about 1 U.S. quart – almost $7 a gallon. This is why you see so many small cars here. The station also has a well-stocked mini-mart.

If you don’t have a transportation pass, you need to buy a ticket for a certain amount of time and time-stamp it in the red machines when you board. These colorful dispensers seem to be at almost every tram and bus stop in town.
